Because “clean" beauty lacks a regulatory definition by the Food and Drug Administration, we chose not to market our brand as "clean." But rest assured, our products are thoughtfully formulated, thoroughly tested, and made to comply with worldwide regulations of quality and safety—you have our word. Q: How do I change or cancel my order? 
A: In an effort to ship out your products efficiently, we immediately begin processing your order as soon as it is placed. Unfortunately, once orders are submitted, they cannot be canceled or modified.  

Q: How can I find the status of my order?  
A: Find the status of a particular order and view your Order History on the Order Status tracking page under ‘My Account’.  

Q: Where can I track my order? 
A: We will email you a shipment notification along with a tracking number as soon as your package ships. 

Q: My order is missing an item, what should I do?

Shipping & Returns

Q: How do I qualify for free shipping?  
A: Standard Shipping is FREE on all U.S. purchases of $50 and over (excluding taxes) and international order $100 USD and over (excluding taxes).  

Q: Are returns free? 
A: For U.S. orders, items returned within 30 days of purchase qualify for free return shipping. Donations are non-refundable. Note you are allowed 1 exchange on your original order.

Unfortunately, we cannot offer returns or exchanges on orders shipped outside of U.S. Shipping and duties are non-refundable. For additional information please contact our support team at 1-888-892-7273 or hello@rarebeauty.com.

Q: Who is Global-e?
A: Global-e is an international fulfillment service provide to Rare Beauty. Global-e will appear as the merchant of record for international transactions made on www.rarebeauty.com

Q: Can I exchange my items purchased from Sephora.com or Sephora retail stores? 
A: Unfortunately, Rare Beauty cannot facilitate returns or exchanges of items purchased from Sephora. Please contact Sephora customer service for orders placed on Sephora.com or purchases from Sephora stores.   

Q: When can I get items that are out of stock?

Q: How can I unsubscribe from receiving promotional e-mails? 
A: You can unsubscribe from Rare Beauty promotional emails by clicking the link provided at the bottom of the email to be removed from the mailing list. Please note that unsubscribing from our promotional emails will not affect your receipt of order and shipment confirmations or other transactional notifications for orders placed.

Q: Are your products vegan? 
A: Yes, all our products are 100% vegan.   

Q: Are your products cruelty-free? 
A: Yes, all our products are cruelty-free, meaning we do not test on animals. 

Q: What is the Leaping Bunny standard? 
A: The standard is short for the Corporate Standard of Compassion for Animals, a voluntary pledge that cosmetic, personal care, and/or household product companies based in the US or Canada make to clear animal testing from all stages of product development. A company's ingredient suppliers and/or manufacturers must make the same pledge. The result is a product guaranteed to be 100 percent free of new animal testing. All Leaping Bunny companies must be open to independent audits, and commitments are renewed on an annual basis.

Q: Are Rare Beauty products Leaping Bunny certified? 
A: Yes. As of April 2024, all Rare Beauty products are Leaping Bunny certified. We have always been a vegan-friendly and cruelty-free brand. 

 

Rare Beauty Made Accessible Initiative

Q: What does the Made Accessible Initiative stand for?  
A: The Made Accessible Initiative represents our mission to explore what makes packaging more accessible for people experiencing dexterity limitations, and our effort to expand the definition of inclusivity.     

Q: Why aren’t all Rare Beauty products part of the Made Accessible Initiative? 
A: Some formulas require specific packaging and closures to protect the product, prevent drying out, and ensure that there are no longevity issues during storage, shipping, and the full lifecycle of the product. We’re working to find adaptations with new launches, but some are more challenging than others.

Q: I purchased a product that was included in the Made Accessible Initiative, but I’m still having difficulty using it.   
A: 
We’re sorry to hear that you’re having difficulty with your product. Please note that all our packaging is locked tightly after filling for the product’s protection during shipping and storage. The force required to open it for the first time is the greatest. After that, you’ll need less force to close and re-open. If this is not the issue, please contact customer service at 1-888-892-RARE (7273), Monday-Friday, 7am-4pm PT. You can also reach us at hello@rarebeauty.com.   

While our research included subjects with a range of upper extremity disabilities, the sample size of 50 or more subjects may not capture all constraints and experiences.

A: Our goal is to prioritize accessibility as we develop future products. 

Q: Will Rare Beauty redesign existing products to make them accessible?    
A: It's not something we’re exploring at the moment, but we’re prioritizing accessibility as we develop future products.
